7-DAY ECOLOGICAL TRAILS AND ADVENTURES
Ghana’s Volta Lake is perhaps the biggest man-made water body in the world. Its scenic landscapes that dramatize sunsets and blue skies offer rare tourists experiences. We will explore the surrounding breath taking views, waterfalls, monkey and bird sanctuaries. You will interact with local inhabitants, meet chiefs and priests of traditional religion.


Day 1
Arrival in Accra and check in La Palm Royal and La Beach Hotels.
 
 
Day 2: (9.00am)
Whole day cruise with live band music and barbecue on the Volta Lake, disembark at Kpandu. Visit heritage sites and craft centers. Overnight at Chances Hotel at Ho.
 
 
Day 3-6: (09.00am each day)
From our base, group breaks into four (4) to conduct circuit tours to the following sites;
Mountain bicycle ride to Amedzofe the highest inhabitable settlement in Ghana, visit waterfalls and farmlands with produce like brown rice, tea and potatoes.

Visit the Tafi Monkey and Xavi bird watching sanctuaries and participate in local traditional cooking, rituals, drumming, dance and boat rides. You may want to throw a hook for some fish. Don’t forget to buy your craft souvenirs as we travel the region.
Hike on Afadgato, the highest mountain range in Ghana and trek to two picturesque waterfalls (Wli and Tagbo).
 
 
Day 7 (08.00 am)
Leave hotel and make a brief stop over at Xofa Eco village on the banks of the Volta River for a lunch picnic, freshen up and head to the Airport for flight back home.
